Little Free Library Spotlights Our Director

In coordination with World Read Aloud Day, we are proud to share the exciting news that our Director, Lori Savage Grayson, was recently interviewed by the Little Free Library organization for their first Steward Spotlight of 2020.

In this Steward Spotlight, Ms. Savage Grayson shares the story of the Children’s Communication Center’s Little Ones Rock Little Free Library Trio, as well as, advice for current and future LFL stewards. You can read the complete interview here.

As an ASHA certified pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, Ms. Savage Grayson’s passion for helping others understand the significant connection between language development, literacy, and learning tied in perfectly with the idea of a Little Free Library.

“Literacy is supported by a child’s early language development, and the two go hand-in-hand to build a strong foundation for learning and academic success.”

We invite you to learn more about our Little Ones Rock Little Free Library Trio and language, literacy, and learning development in our blogs.

Our Little Free Libraries’ story unfolds through the art of Peter Koenig of BAET Collective.

And, don’t miss how a small gift left in our libraries led to the creation of our hand painted Little Ones Rock Be Rocks from A to Z, a year round language-literacy activity filled with positive messages.

Ms. Savage Grayson’s message is an important reminder to each of us to establish a Family Reading Tradition.

“Read to your little ones, read with your little ones, and read alongside your little ones, no matter their age. Yes, this means your teens too!”

We would like to thank the Little Free Library organization for selecting our Director for the Steward Spotlight interview. Ms. Grayson welcomes questions from current or future LFL stewards.

Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s speech, language, literacy or communication development.
